ALIMA — Breath for All
Rise
Start your day with focus and intention. Inspired by the bright red suns that rise over the savanna.
Unwind
Relax your mind and body at the end of the day. Inspired by otherworldy rock formations in Burkina Faso and Chad and dazzling Milky Way sightings in Southern Africa.
Across sub-Saharan Africa, acute respiratory infection is a leading cause of death due to a lack of medical oxygen. ALIMA’s (The Alliance for International Medical Action) Breath for All program trains health workers and provides life-saving equipment and medical oxygen supplies.
Our insight for their latest fundraising campaign was simple: we take breathing for granted. Our culture spends time and money on things like breathwork apps and meditation classes, while millions of patients in sub-Saharan oxygen are fighting for breath. So, we decided to tap into this phenomenon and create breathwork visuals that invite donors to take a breath, then give a breath.

We imagined three distinct visuals featuring different guided breathwork exercises and sub-Saharan landscapes. World-renowned digital artist Six N. Five turned them into living, breathing worlds.
Refresh
Energize your afternoon. Inspired by the snaking pathways of the Congo River.
The hero asset for the campaign is an extended guided breathwork meditation that features a bright orange sun that comes to life and directs your breath. The film features an original 8D soundscape inspired by traditional African instruments. Wear headphones for the full immersive sound experience.
